Guatemala!

So I have been traveling without a camera for the last little while so I'm going to just borrow pictures from teh internets.

Picking up where I left off - After paying an arm and a leg on tolls through Delaware I made my way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a few days. I had some great couch surfing hosts who let me sleep in their hammock and take part in some Friday the 13th activities such as night adventure walks...

My last stop in the US was Fort Lauderdale in Florida. The only thing that happens that city is people spending too much money on a place to retire - Pretty exciting. If I had to pick one highlight about FL it would be the look the banker gave me when I pulled $500 of cash out of my sock at the bank. Think about that the next time you handle some cash and put your hand in your mouth ;)

Guatemala City boasts having the biggest market in Central America:
Chichicastenango

It is filled with all things delicious!

I find that after a couple of days in any city I start to get a little antsy, so I headed to Antigua about an hour west. This was the capital of  Guatemala until when a bad ass earthquake decided that it shouldn't be anymore. Filled with the remains old colonial buildings it is basically the tourism capital of Guatemala. This of course means that I wont spend more then another day here...

Antigua with the Volcán de Agua in the background.

I have finally had my fist chicken bus experience. The photo speaks for itself. The driver probably is an ex race car driver and has a powerful mustache.
